2026 Canvassing and Voter Engagement Campaign
The Corridor Counts, Inc. is launching an ambitious, community-centered, grassroots canvassing campaign designed to educate voters and strengthen civic engagement ahead of the 2026 General Election in November. Beyond being a voter contact strategy, TCC sees this as an investment in building a stronger relationship between The Corridor communities and the democratic process on Long Island.
We Will:
Recruit and train a team of volunteer canvassers, with an emphasis on recruiting young volunteers.
Develop a comprehensive education and training curriculum to equip the volunteers with the skills and knowledge needed to be effective canvassers.
Create a database of community issues, collected from residents in The Corridor, so that our outreach is targeted to reflect the priorities of the people we aim to serve.
Engage voters both online and in-person through coordinated digital outreach via social media, as well as door-to-door conversations.
Produce an improved 2026 Voter Guide, similar to our successful 2025 Voter Guide, but with information to help voters navigate the voting process, including early voting information and The Corridor Counts, Inc. 2026 Endorsed Candidate List.
Distribute sample ballots and voter education resources throughout The Corridor so voters can cast informed ballots and know what to do in the voting booths.
